I was so excited when Sam and Kayla wanted to have an anniversary session in Rocky Mountain National Park! They are celebrating three years of marriage this December and Kayla wanted to get in her wedding dress one last time before she packs it away! Since it can get pretty cold in the winter in the Rocky Mountains we decided to have their session in fall.

We ended up landing on a sunrise session. We left for the park around 3:30AM and got to the top of Trail Ridge Road around 6:30 right before the sun rose. We were met with chilly temperatures and a surprisingly mild wind for the top of the mountain. We had the mountain top to our selves and we slowly saw the sky getting lighter and lighter.

Kayla threw on her dress and we walked out toward the epic views. The way the sun lit up the mountains as it was rising was truly incredible and left me speechless for words. Besides of course me jumping up and down saying “Oh my gosh! Do you see those mountains!! Holy cow this lighting is incredible!”
