Congratulations to April and Kirk! These two get married at the end of the month and then head to Wisconsin to celebrate with family! We had the perfect weather for this Colorado mountain engagement session. We were forecasted with clear skies, but in typical Colorado fashion, the weather changes fast. Some dark clouds rolled in, but the weather held and we had a beautiful light to photograph them. Kyle and I have so much in common with these two, we even got engaged at the same place!!

April’s mother gave Kirk her mothers ring. April felt so lucky to have witnesses that really special moment. Kirk later proposed at Daniels Park with April’s grandmother’s ring. Looking back she said, “I knew the proposal was coming but he was still able to surprised me and it was surreal. I left my body for a second. The two of us celebrated with sushi and sake.”

I loved getting to document this special time for them! We had such a great time, they were smiling and laughing throughout the whole session, I think my cheeks were sore after too!!
